Although pre-charged systems do not require an HVAC technician to vacuum/charge the lines – we advise that in order to **potentially qualify for the rebate – you leave the lines disconnected and ask an HVAC technician to screw them together, in order to complete the connection & test the system.
This way you may obtain the necessary paperwork for the rebate. We find many independent HVAC service contractors only too willing to charge for simple jobs – that in terms of the rebate amount are insignificant in cost.
